We are creators of the method “Using the Interactive Communicative Approach”, ICA

«Over 21 years of transforming the classroom into a space for communicative interaction.»

The experience acquired in our classroom and the professionalism of our team has made possible that Spanish Interaction had its own methodology: Interactive Communicative Approach, ICA

We combine interactive dialogue, progressive vocabulary building, and authentic life-based scenarios to create an engaging learning experience for the students. Our unique approach to teaching language means you’ll be engaged from your very first lesson and speaking your new language much sooner than you think!

Step by step we bring the information that the student needs to learn the language. We have developed a highly effective strategy to teaching Spanish that has come from many years of teaching experience.

We believe that the primary objective of language education is to improve the communication skills of our students, to help in the gradual acquisition of the most common communication skills in their lives: speaking, listening, reading, understanding what you read or listening, and writing.

Our Pedagogical Principles

Natural language acquisition

Learning through listening and repeating, just like a child learns from parents.

Contextualized real-life proposals

Activities based on real events with pragmatic intentions.

Grammar subordinated to communication

Interactive methodology prioritizing pragmatic communication.

Cognitive, affective and cultural integration

Human aspects within social and cultural context.

Dynamic teacher-student interaction

Fully engaged in the process with shared responsibilities. A cooperative and interactive work.

The importance of extralinguistic factors

Empathy and motivation are at the heart of our teaching, creating meaningful learning experiences.

Use of the mother tongue

Using the student's native language in moderation.

We consider prior knowledge

Connecting new information with what is already known is fundamental to achieving meaningful learning.
